Web Development can basically be broken into two area: Front-end development and Back-end development.

Front-end development is where the web design is converted into (X)HTML and CSS. The skeleton of your site is now complete!
Back-end development is basically where all the 'behind the scences' magic occurs. It's where the front-end meets the databases and functionality that drives the site.

Now that you have your web site designed and built, you're going to need somewhere to keep it to show it off to the world. This is where web hosting comes in. Hosting a web site basically means storing your web pages on a computer, that is linked to the internet permanently.

The Nitty Gritty

First and foremost, I'm assuming that you already have a domain name, such as www.SwellDesigns.co.uk. By means of providing a Web Hosting Service, I am giving you the ability to store and serve up your wonderful web site on the World Wide Web.
If you don't have a domain, they're easily obtainable and cheap from companies such as Domain Express, and UK-Cheapest.

For just £39.99 a year (that's about £3.33 a month!), I can provide you with a very stable and reliable shared server.
If you already have a hosting package, but are feeling a little restricted with the resources that your company is providing, get in touch to discuss where I can help and improve.
