Predict Footy Results – World Cup

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

I’ve created a web site, www.PredictFootyResults.co.uk, for the upcoming World Cup, that allows you to predict the results of the games and compete in a League……just for fun!

My aim is to use the same application afterwards for the English Premier League if successful.  I’ve engineered it, so that it’s easy to update, so expect plenty of those.  What I’d really like to do is also extend the current brief stats page.

I’m also open to any “feature” requests, within reason.

It’s free, and only take a moment to join, so please take a look.

THIEF! – goclickcoachhire

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

I feel the need to make an official announcement.

I Simon Hayward, who trades under the name of Swell Designs, has nothing to do with a London based (or used to be!) coach hire company (or used to be!) called goclickcoachhire.co.uk (or used to be!).  Note I have not blessed them with a hyperlink.

If you visit this url, yes, it will show my standard holding page, which will give you the impression that this is one of my clients.  But it’s not!!  The cheeky swines have lifted the code without asking.  Last week they had the default apache holding page with my business email, on full view for email harvesters!!  Thanks by the way.  But now, they’ve actually gone to the trouble of viewing the source of the code and lifting what they want.  Grrr…..

I can only assume that they’re having troubles of some sort, and decided to lift my details for a pleasant cover.  At least I get a nice hyperlink from them!

So far I’ve tried to track down some of the dubious names linked to the company, but so far have all been dead ends.  Shame the domain expires in a year too, otherwise I’d buy that just for the heck of it.

Anyway, this has turned into a moaning blog entry, rather than anything informative.  But should you not be able to get in contact with me, and you’ve stumbled across this blog trying to get information about aforementioned thieves, I hope it helped.

Right, off to IP banner.  I know your IP address you thieving scoundrels!

Redesign Web Site?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

Damn.  It’s only been 7 months since I redesigned my web site, and already I have itchy fingers!  Although I’m really loving the dark opacity I’ve now incorporated, I’m always fascinated by web sites that employ jQuery and it’s smooth vertical scrolling (example, please only visit if you have imagination).

New Web Site!

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

Hey what the hell! It’s a new year.

I’ve decided to give my web site a face-lift, and a new style/colour scheme.

There’s some new sections too such as the Services page. This was due to quite a few enquires about PSD > HTML, and the ever popular CMS. Think I’m speaking a different language? Then pop on over to my Services page to find out more.

Yes, we look forward to it for months. It costs a fortune. And it’s all over within 24hrs!

Well mine was anyway.

Officially back to work 29th Dec ’08, and open for business again.

Look forward to hearing from you!
